Komen Houston More Than PinkTM 30th Anniversary Luncheon
March 6, 2020
The inaugural More Than Pink™ Luncheon will celebrate the vision of Komen’s founders with the hope and increasing promise of a cure. In 1990, a small group of passionate volunteers sought ways to support their mothers, sisters, daughters and friends through the challenge of a breast cancer diagnosis with the establishment of Susan G. Komen® Houston. Thirty years later, Komen Houston has engaged and connected a community like no other organization.
The Luncheon will honor the legacy of the late Eileen Campbell, former board chair of Komen Houston, whose personal experience with breast cancer inspired her to be a fierce advocate against the disease. It will also feature keynote speaker and author, Heidi Floyd. Heidi, a breast cancer survivor, has served as the “voice of the patient” for several organizations including Ford, Google, the US Department of Defense and Susan G. Komen®. She educates corporations on compassionate outreach to patients, their families and the worldwide cancer community.
We hope that you will join us on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Noon at the Ballroom at Bayou Place for this historic moment that celebrates the tremendous impact Komen Houston has had on the lives of countless women and families battling breast cancer.
