Increasing Breast Cancer Awareness in our Communities
Susan G. Komen® Houston seeks to educate our community about breast cancer and breast health awareness through our Education Outreach Programs.
We get many requests for speakers, health fairs and educational materials; unfortunately, we cannot fill all of these requests. We ask that you place your request at least four weeks in advance as this increases the chance of volunteer availability for your event. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so there is an influx of requests for Komen Houston’s resources. Please submit your requests for education outreach services as early as possible.
All exhibits and presentation requests must be submitted a minimum of four weeks before your event.
Our Education Outreach Programs include:
Exhibits at Health Fairs
Komen Houston can attend your health fair and distribute free education materials and pink ribbons.
Free educational brochures and pink ribbons are available for pick up in our office. Please give us at least one week notice to pack the materials.
Komen Houston presentation includes information on Komen Houston, breast health and screening. Presentations are conducted free of charge, however, donations can be offered to Komen Houston.
Exhibits and presentations are conducted by Komen volunteers from our Education Committee.
In order to request any of these services, please fill out the education outreach form by clicking here.
